Suzanne Smith
(C) (828) 265-6334
|
Suzanne Smith, GRI, ABR, SRES
Since 1984, I’ve been an active member of the real estate community in the beautiful High
Country of Watauga, Ashe, and Avery counties. My family and I first moved to Boone from
St. Petersburg, Florida in 1975, and my nearly 34 years’ residence here has given me a
thorough knowledge of the local community, our schools, and our cultural environment.
I take my commitment to real estate seriously, and I’ve worked hard to achieve professional
designations that demonstrate my expertise. As a graduate of the Realtor’s Institute, I share
the GRI designation with only two percent of Realtors nationwide. Because I especially enjoy
assisting buyers, I obtained the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) certification and have
made that my specialty. Recently, I added the Senior Real Estate Specialist degree (SRES),
which means I am specially trained to help the growing number of buyers 55 and older --
Baby-Boomers like myself -- carefully invest their assets in High Country real estate.
Because many of my clients are repeat customers, I’m also skilled in listing and selling homes
and land throughout the High Country.
As my past endeavors include nearly 4 years' training with the USET, when I'm not showing
properties, I enjoy a relaxing horseback ride through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain
forests of the High Country.
Building a strong network of professional relationships with clients over the years is my top priority, and I’d be proud to add you to my list of satisfied customers.

Carol Sommer-Isquith
(C) (828) 260-4991
|
Carol Sommer-Isquith, Broker Associate
Carol Sommer-Isquith is a full time professional broker with Advanced Realty. She has a strong executive management background and directed her own company for over 20 years in California.
She is committed to serving our industry and has served as both Vice-Chairperson and Chairperson of the Education Committee. Carol also serves on the Grievance Committee, Advertising Committee, is a current member of The Board of Directors, and teaches Fair Housing for the new member orientation classes. Carol was also given the highly regarded Rising Star award in 2009.
After commuting to a summer home on Beech Mountain for over 5 years she decided that the high country lifestyle trumped the city life so in 2005, she decided to make the Boone/Banner Elk area her full time residence for retirement. It wasn’t very long after retiring that she became restless. Coming from a business and corporate background, she was antsy to do something again and decided that Real Estate would be a perfect fit.
As a professional she understood that the buying and selling real estate is a deeply personal decision. Having bought and sold numerous properties, she always appreciated a broker who “listened” to and “understood” her needs. Carol says, “I believe that listening to my clients is paramount to the building of a successful relationship. It is important that my clients feel confident and trust in my ability to assist them. People want to buy and people want to sell. When they select me, they know that I will facilitate the transaction by acting on their behalf with the utmost skill and care.”
Carol also states, “I am privileged to be part of the Advanced Realty team of real estate professionals. Advanced Realty is a small privately owned firm and generally ranks among the top five companies in our MLS. We have been number one in sales to agent ratio and number five in overall transactions among a group of over 500 Realtors. Our office of only eight Realtors includes a Realtor of The Year, A Rising Star, numerous Board of Director Members, and New Member Instructors. We are well respected by our peers and our Brokers-In-Charge have always been highly regarded members of the community.”
The pride and joy of her life are her two sons. The eldest is a Physician and Director of Hospitalists for a hospital in North Carolina, and is the father of her three beautiful grandchildren. Her youngest son is an attorney, is single and lives in Seattle.
